Care Instructions For Boards

Your board has been sealed with a food-safe butcher block oil to protect the wood and keep it beautiful.

With the right care, it will stay smooth, clean, and ready to serve for many gatherings to come.

 

1. Cleaning After Use

- Wipe or hand-wash only with mild dish soap and warm water.

- Never soak the board or put it in the dishwasher. This will cause warping, cracks, or swelling.

- After washing, immediately dry with a clean towel and allow it to air-dry fully before storing.

 

2. Preventing Stains & Odors

- If your board smells after use (e.g., garlic, onion, cheese), sprinkle coarse salt or baking soda on the surface and rub gently with a halved lemon.

- Rinse lightly and dry right away.

 

3. Re-Oiling for Protection

-If your board ever looks dingy, dull, or feels like it needs to be re-oiled, just contact me!

4. Storing Your Board

- Store upright or in a well-ventilated area, avoid leaning it against damp surfaces.

- Keep away from heat sources (like stoves) or direct sunlight to prevent drying and cracking.
